AI Voice Chat for Thinking Out Loud

You explain a problem better than you type it.

Typing forces you to organise a thought before you have finished having it, which is why typed prompts are so often thinner than what you actually meant. Speaking is messier and far more complete. Clade takes voice messages on iPhone, iPad and web, transcribes them, and sends them to any of 50+ models — so a rambling two-minute explanation comes back as a structured answer.

When voice beats typing

  • Explaining a problem with a lot of context — the detail you would not have bothered to type is exactly the detail that helps.
  • Walking or commuting, where typing is not an option.
  • Long inputs generally: speaking is roughly three times faster than typing.
  • Thinking through a decision aloud and asking the model to structure it.
  • Language practice, where speaking is the skill being trained.
  • Any moment your hands are busy.

How it works

  • Record a voice message in the conversation on any device.
  • It is transcribed and sent to whichever model you have selected.
  • The full transcript stays in the thread, so you can see and correct what was heard.
  • The response arrives as normal text you can read, copy or continue from.
  • Everything syncs across iPhone, iPad and web in real time.

Getting a clean transcript

  • Spell out unusual names, acronyms and technical terms the first time.
  • A quiet environment matters more than an expensive microphone.
  • Pause between distinct points rather than running them together.
  • Say the format you want at the end — "give that back as a bulleted plan".
  • Check the transcript before relying on the answer if the input included exact figures.

What it is not

This is voice input, not a real-time spoken conversation with an AI voice on the other end. You speak, it transcribes, the model replies in text. For dictating long context and getting a considered written answer, that is usually the better shape anyway — but if you specifically want a back-and-forth spoken dialogue, this is not that.

Frequently asked questions

Can I talk to AI instead of typing?

Yes. Record a voice message in any conversation on iPhone, iPad or web; it is transcribed and sent to whichever of the 50+ models you have selected.

Does the AI reply with a voice?

No — responses come back as text. Voice is for input, which is where most of the speed advantage is.

How accurate is the transcription?

Good in normal conditions. Unusual names, acronyms and heavy background noise are the usual sources of error, and the full transcript is visible in the thread so you can check it.

Which models work with voice messages?

All of them. The message is transcribed first, so any of the 50+ models can receive it.

Does it work on the web app?

Yes — voice messages work on iPhone, iPad and in the browser, with conversations synced across all three.
